Louder has proudly supported the Bondi2Berry Ride to Remember for five years, helping raise funds and awareness for dementia research.

As dementia becomes Australia’s leading cause of death, this partnership reflects Louder’s belief in investing in people, health, and purpose, both at work and in the community.

In 2025, we’re extending our sponsorship of Bondi2Berry through to 2027, continuing to match donations raised by registered charities.

A 10-year journey of purpose

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of the Bondi2Berry Ride to Remember, the flagship cycling event of the Dementia Research Community (DRC).

More than 300 riders and event crew will take part in the 155-kilometre journey from Bondi Beach through the Royal National Park to Wollongong, Kiama, and Berry, united by one goal: to help fund a cure for dementia.

Louder is proud to once again sponsor the event and support the DRC’s mission to raise awareness, start conversations, and break the stigma around dementia.

Why it matters

For Louder, this cause is deeply personal. Dementia directly or indirectly affects many of us, our team, our families, and our friends.

It is now the leading cause of death for all Australians, with 433,000 people currently living with the condition. Without a research breakthrough, that number will rise to 1 million by 2065.

As Andrew Hughes, Louder’s CEO and founder, puts it: “Investment in people and research is the path to finding innovative and novel solutions, something that’s close to our own ways of working.”

By sponsoring Bondi2Berry and matching community donations, Louder aims to play a small part in driving that innovation forward.

More than just a ride

Bondi2Berry isn’t a race, it’s a movement. Since the first ride in 2016, three friends (Nick, Pierre and James) have grown the event from 40 riders to more than 300 participants, raising over $1.9 million and funding 10 dementia research projects through DRC’s grants program.

Each year, riders stop in Kiama, a dementia-friendly community, for a public event hosted by the Kiama Municipal Council. This year’s goal is to raise $250,000, directly funding two new research projects.

All funds raised go directly to the researchers, no administration costs, no middlemen.

Louder’s ongoing commitment

Louder has sponsored Bondi2Berry for the past three years and has committed to continue through to 2027, including donation matching for registered charities.

Andrew has also personally participated in multiple rides, including Bondi2Berry and Bondi2Byron, alongside members of the Randwick Botany Cycling Club and our local community.

Supporting initiatives like this aligns perfectly with Louder’s culture of balance, wellbeing, and purpose, qualities we see as essential to doing great work and being part of something bigger than ourselves.

How you can help
