Find your deal in DV360

Curated deals give advertisers more control over the quality and source of their inventory. As we’ve discussed previously, curation is becoming an important part of programmatic buying

  1. Sign in to Display & Video 360 and select the advertiser you want to buy from.
  2. In the left menu, go to Inventory > My inventory.
  3. Search by Name or ID and enter the deal ID provided by Louder.
  4. Check that the deal is active and that its exchange, format, pricing and dates match the details provided.

Can’t see the deal?

Check at partner level by switching to the relevant partner and navigating to Inventory > My inventory.

If the deal is available at partner level, check whether it needs to be shared with your advertiser. If it’s missing at both levels, contact Louder with your DV360 Partner ID so we can check whether it has been shared with the correct account.

Tip: If you’re activating multiple curated deals, consider organising them into a deal group. This makes it easier to manage inventory across multiple line items.

Assign the deal to a line item

There are two ways to do this. Option A is quickest when you’re starting from the deal. Option B is useful if you already have a line item set up.

Option A: From My inventory

Go to Inventory > My inventory and find the deal under Orders and deals.

Select Actions, then Assign to existing line item or Assign to new line item.

Option B: From the line item

Open the line item and navigate to Inventory source targeting.

Under Deals and packages, search for the deal by name or ID and add it.

Save the line item.

Make sure you’re buying curated inventory

For more on improving inventory quality and reducing wasted spend, see Louder’s approach to programmatic supply management.

This is an important step that can easily be overlooked.

Adding a deal to a line item doesn’t automatically exclude open auction inventory.

If public inventory targeting remains enabled, your campaign may continue buying from the open auction alongside your selected deals.

To buy exclusively through the curated deals:

  1. Open the line item’s Inventory source targeting.
  2. Confirm the relevant deals are selected under Deals and packages.
  3. Under Public inventory, deselect all public exchanges.
  4. Save your changes.

Your line item will now be configured to buy only through the selected deals.

This gives you greater control over your media supply and can help reduce exposure to MFA and other unwanted inventory, depending on how the deals have been curated.

Match your creative to the deal

Make sure your line item and creative format match the inventory you’re buying.

Display deals: Use a display line item with compatible display creatives.

CTV and video deals: Use an appropriate video line item with creatives that meet the deal’s specifications, including supported durations, formats and technical requirements.

If your creative doesn’t match the deal’s requirements, your campaign may not be eligible to bid.
